Japonica notebooks "Traditional Culture of Japan" series

Japonica is a brand for notebooks from a Japanese stationery company Showa (SHOWA NOTE CO., LTD.) that has been popular among elementary school students in Japan. The front covers of Japonica notebooks feature beautiful pictures from nature. And recently, they have produced "Traditional Culture of Japan" series featuring illustrations of sumo wrestler and kabuki actors!

Currently kabuki versions, the initial release from the series, are available at souvenir shops at Kabuki-za Theater in Ginza and other theatres. Sumo versions will be on sale at shops inside the Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena and other sumo venues across Japan. You can also purchase them at stationary stores.

Notebooks with a sumo wrestler or kabuki actors on the cover... cool enough to inspire kids to study, aren't they?
